Who We Are

Patmos Applied Development LLC (Patmos Applied Development LLC) builds radio capability in software. Where conventional systems lock their function into fixed hardware, we define it in code — CUDA kernels, real-time GPU pipelines, and machine learning models running on NVIDIA processors — so a single hardware baseline can be reconfigured across missions.

Our engineering lead has delivered this work on U.S. Government programs, including a DoW SBIR Phase II effort for RF Interference Mitigation and a government subcontract for real-time wireless threat detection. When you contact us, you are talking to the engineer who does the work.

Steven Wimbrow

CEO and Director of Research & Development

Steven Wimbrow leads Patmos Applied Development's engineering work as its principal engineer, CEO and Director of Research & Development. His specialty is statistical and digital signal processing: the mathematics of finding, separating, and identifying signals in crowded RF environments — and the GPU software that makes it run in real time. He is founder of Patmos Applied Development.

Recent work includes sole authorship of the final technical report for a GPU-accelerated RF signal processing prototype developed under a DoW SBIR Phase II contract, and designated key personnel on a government subcontract developing a real-time wireless threat detection capability. Hands-on engineering — hand-authored CUDA C GPU kernels, custom GNU Radio signal processing blocks, and machine learning pipelines deployed on edge GPU hardware — is core to our delivered work.

Steven Wimbrow holds a master's degree in engineering and has over thirty years of experience as an RF/Microwave and digital signal processing engineer supporting the intelligence community. He has extensive design expertise in the quantization of noise in RADAR and radio communication systems, and his hardware design experience in receiver front-end systems, RF filters, low-noise microwave sources, and software-defined radios has led to the research and development of specialized instrumentation to acquire specific side-band noise signatures of various microwave sources and amplifiers.
